New Books!!!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Hey Everyone, I thought I should update you on my new books that have just hit the shelves or will be hitting the shelves soon, soon, soon. Okay, so this is so exciting–I recently finished the final edits on a book about the Men’s Olympic hockey players who attended the orientation camp in August. All of the 46 players are vying for a spot on this coveted team. Who do you think is going to make it? I talked to the management team to find out why they picked who they did to attend the Orientation Camp. Now, the big question is–Who is going to be named to the final roster? At the back of the book you can fill in your team. This is a hot debate all across Canada so get the book and pick your team. This book is titled HOME ICE.
Fighting for Gold is the story of Canada’s Sledge hockey gold medal at the Paralympics in 2006 in Turin. The guys on that team are such amazing athletes. They have overcome so much adversity and they work so hard to be world class athletes. If you have never watched Sledge hockey than make sure you tune in when Canada’s team hits the ice at the 2010 Paralympics in Vancouver in March. Many of the guys from the 2006 team are back again and will be playing in Vancouver. This is a book that is easy to read and suitable for any reluctant reader–especially those in High School and especially boys. Yeah, books for boys!
