First Review for Home Ice

November 15th, 2009

Okay, so my first review came today for Home Ice and I have to say I was nervous when I started reading it. But then I relaxed because I was happy that this reviewer gave such a good synopsis about the book. Anyway, it was from Garth Woolsey at the Toronto Star and his best line was that the books was an “in-advance combination of information package and keepsake.” Well, he said some other good things too. But I liked that because that is what Fenn, my publisher, tried to do with the book, make it into a keepsake. Woolsey also lets everyone know that, “In the back are game sheets so readers can pencil in the results as they happen, starting with Game 1 vs. Norway on Feb 16th, plus a bracket-style synoposis with the label, naturally, “path to gold”.”
All in all this was a great review to let Olympic hockey fans across Canada in on the book and to encourage fans to get cracking and get some Christmas gifts for their favourite people.
